The ultimate form of development for this lens is still a far-fetched thought but when achieved it could give the gift of sight to human beings. The movie terminator had Arnold sporting a bionic eye and if this lens is developed to a level where it can be adapted with the human body, that fiction could turn into one of the greatest achievements of mankind when talking of biological advancements.
