They have an idea to make a carpet that can make anything disappear? Why don’t they make it soon? O’ I can hardly wait to have a look at it.

Is it just like a magical jacket (if we cover ourselves) that we find in stories and movies etc? But I suggest them a more interesting idea. Why don’t they try to make the carpet itself to be disappeared, along with the articles on it? Best of luck to the scientists, I have trust on you. You can do it yaar.

What?! It doesn’t fly? Then there’s no use of it being ’magical’.

Is it possible, even plausible to devise such a thing? If it happens, I can, bet over anything, a small investment for buying one would certainly pay you rich dividends. I am a little confused if anything swept under it would disappear or become invisible; I suppose these are two different things.

Day dreaming might sometime be too lethal for the heart and mind. Moreover, like many readers have opined , even i m baffled. Clearly this article has raised more question than answered many.

While it is understandable that many are skeptical about it, the theory behind the future project is pretty sound and stems from the basics of reflection. In simple language, if light falls on something and is not reflected by it at all and totally absorbed by it, then it becomes invisible. At the end of the day if the light does not reach your eyes, then it is invisible! Total internal reflection would make that possible. Light hits the surface having two structures and the outer layer bends the light back in rather than let it out.

It is possible and hopefully the theory will translate soon in to something solid. Though Harsh, it still won’t fly :)
