A monster volcano has been detected underneath the Antarctica Ocean for the first time. The volcano erupted about twenty three hundred years ago is still active, its biggest eruption was during the last 10,000 years said the British Antarctic survey (BAS).It blew a ample holes in the ice sheet, engendered the ash and gas that rose around 12km into the air.

Although the monster is buried in the ice surface but the molten rocks are still tossing below. The glaciologist scientists said this study may help in explaining the speeding up of the slow moving glaciers in the region. “this eruption occurred close to pine island on the west Antarctic ice sheet”, David Vaughan a glaciologist with BSA said he also added the flood of this glaciers has speeded up near the coastal areas and its may be the possibilities that volcano has given birth to this type of processes.

The glaciologist scientists used the ice –penetrating radars to come up with is discovery and found plot of ash at more than 20,700 square kilometer beneath the ice.
Scientists has used modern equipments to find out other features, such as lake ,heated rocks underneath the icy Antarctic .the massive melting of ice sheet in the Greenland ,but the exact reason whether a volcano or some other prevailing conditions is responsible is still a questionable part
