To talk about austerity !! The lackluster way in which the civic bodies operate in the country gives goosebumps to those who avail of their facilities. Because of a tinge of Babudom in the country, the authority and responsibility somehow does not seem to work for the benefit of the people. Clear demarcations of the responsibilities and authority seem to be the only option.!!

This is what happens when you let people keep on admitting their mama’s and bhanjas and betas into the system. The system has become as a self healing and pocket filling institution due to the fact that no one ever cares to pull up their collar and demand what work or tasks have they undertaken for the betterment of the society. The common people gets illtreated by the system and still fears it by the end of the day, it is high time that the system starts getting fear of the people, the very people who established it on the first place. And by the system, i mean the civic authorities, the ministers who sanction the officers there, the contracters, the legal authorities who fail to send any person to check or monitor their activities and the ruling government who loves to throw mud at such activities of the earlier govt. but utterly fail to prevent or to take any healing measure to assure the common crowd of such ill treatment not occuring again. My heart aches for such families who lose their precious things in life due to the UTTER lack of understanding and ”humanity” by unconcerned ”Helpers” of the society

The story was horrendous. It is difficult to imagine how much the lady must have suffered. Shuttling patients from one hospital to another is the norm of the day. The hospital authorities, especially the dean must be made answerable during such situations. In our country it is easy for people to blame one another during such demanding situations. It is essential to make people accountable for their words and actions right from the level of the nurse at the JJ civic hospital to the dean, Dr. Yeolkar at the KEM.
