Salman Rushdie has asked a London publisher to withdraw a book by a former Special Branch bodyguard who claims the author behaved badly and arrogantly toward policemen protecting him from assassins following an Iranian death sentence on him.

It isn’t exatly surprising that Scruffy, I mean Rushdie, never heard his guards calling him by a nickname when studnets do it all the time behind their teachers. And what the guard claims they did to him, the locking-him-up incident, is hilarious!
