India :
For the 2,000-odd tourists at the Rohtang pass on Saturday, time froze. A foot-high carpet of snow, early and unexpected, left them stranded at a height of 13,500 feet. Vehicles were grounded as the roads disappeared under a thick sheet of white.

It was the same time last year and it turned out to be a tour I would never forget. Getting stuck at the Rohtang Pass and places ahead can be worse than a nightmare. We went to cover the Raid Rally for instablogs and got stuck at Bara Lacha La (300 kms from Keylong)on the Leh Raid. We had to ultimately lodge a parachute tent affixed by a Nepalese guy who resides there for this very purpose. In the morning when we got up our beds had a layer of snow on them and the only thing that kept us going that night was a bottle of rum bought from an army camp in Patseo.

Crazy Tour but that experience just made us stronger.

Vikas I promise you that it can’t get any closer!!!Lol. The wheels matched the road so perfectly that the only thing on display was nature and then the feeling of our last ride never just left us. On our way back, we slept most of the way and we were delighted know that we had finally made it back home when we got up in the morning. There were things which kept us going of course but the sensation was taken aback by the sensational driving.

Yes Sir!!!The only time he had his eyes on the road ahead was when the cab was about to go off the hill. The rest of the time he was busy admiring himself in the mirror. We both still managed to have a sound sleep in the last section of the cab and it is indeed needless to say what the guy on the co-driver seat went through. Thank God we came back home alive and are therefore still contributing to insta. Otherwise Bhushan would have had to write an article saluting the spirits of insta’s dead writers!
