Incredibly true! It is astonishing to see such facts of violence. Although we all are aware that this happens around us, but the facts make them more adamant.
Although the article is general overview of violence at large, it does not talk about another more prevelant issue of teen pregnancies. Girls as young as 9 and ten getting pregnant at an age where they don’t even the know the meaning of the word. And it is not that it happens only in developed countries, I remember a case in J&K a few years back where a girl all of 11 gave birth to a baby.

The parents need to be more watchful, because as the study shows, early onset of sexual activity is not good and a child would carry it for the rest of their lives!

That’s common. It happens amongst friends as well.. But the issue here is of abuse that leaves life scarred..
