More than the write up it is the cartoon that demands attention it is a paraphrase that conveys the entire idea of the write up in one very visually attractive form. Though it is a sad truth, bosses inevitably exercise enormous control over their associates I believe levels of autonomy in the bottom of heirarchy is going up. With prospects like flexi time and work hours in a week, people are looking forward to a time where they can work at their own pace while meeting deadlines, fortunately that time aint too far but that who is above you will always have some say come what may.

I think this theory differs from boss to boss. Some of them may not be consistent with that. While some prefer to give high appraisal to their star performers; while some may be too good to the sycophants. In any such case it is better to either quite or confronts your boss. But latter may have its own repercussions.

You cannot generalize all bosses in one line. It doesn’t happen everywhere all the time. You can laugh on the cartoon used to express the sense of article but can’t go with it. By the way, is there any specific reason to apply the more than two-year-old article now?
